THE wild way
In the past, seasonal shifts were celebrated with grand communal events that reflected the special relationship between individuals, communities, and nature. However, urban living and technology have disrupted this link, obscuring the night sky and making it harder to follow the cycles of the moon and stars.
I was fascinated by the idea that this connection could be widely rediscovered and that we could once again celebrate the seasons in a more meaningful way. So I set about creating The Wild Way Oracle Deck specifically to help foster this special relationship.
I hope that by reflecting on the changing seasons and celebrating the passing of the year, you will rediscover the beauty of nature and gain a greater understanding of the universe, as well as a deeper appreciation of your place in it.
Whether this encourages you to plant a garden, observe the phases of the moon, or gather with loved ones to mark the changing of the seasons, I hope that at the very least, it holds the potential to strengthen your sense of wonder, reverence and respect for the natural world.

Nicola Allan is an artist, writer and astrologer based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. She is passionate about the natural world and bringing others closer to nature, and themselves, through her work.
Nicola spent her childhood making art but eventually studied law and went on to practice as a lawyer for just over twelve years. In 2020, she was living in Mexico and working remotely as both a lawyer and illustrator, when the pandemic dried up all her usual sources of work. A chance encounter with an astrologer and tarot reader led to the making of Faunabelle Tarot, and began her journey to the creation of The Wild Way when she returned home to Scotland.
